Fount’s holistic approach to alleviating the orphan crisis is intentional in remaining culturally appropriate and sensitive.  The goal is for vulnerable children and those displaced to remain in their families and/or communities.  To help make this possible, Fount’s Vocational Development Program focuses on providing training in income-generating skills to the caretakers of these children.

We currently focus exclusively on skills training, resourcing, business knowledge, and aiding in strategic development.  Our future includes expanding beyond our current areas of sewing/tailoring, baking, and jewelry-making, into computer training, construction, and welding as well.  We also want to help our groups find and create markets for their work through networking on the local and [potentially] international levels.

Once a man or woman has the skills necessary to find work and/or start a business, the entire family, and eventually the community, benefits.
